*** Overview ***

    SoundLib v1.01, a synthesizer librarian for Windows. 
    Easy to use with database features. 
    Supports more than 17 synths (see below).
    Compatible with Cakewalk for Windows 2.0, 3.0 + Cakewalk Audio Pro.

*** Synths supported ***
    Here is a non exhaustive list of synths supported by SoundLib v1.01 :

*** Requirements ***

    - processor : 386 or Higher,
    - memory : 4 Mo,
    - disk space : 5 Mo free space recommended,
    - midi card with Windows drivers installed,
    - operating system : dos 3.3 or higher / Windows 3.1 or higher.
      smardrv or another disk cache is recommended,
    - screen : VGA (640*480 16 colors) or higher.


*** Installation ***

    If you received this version of SoundLib on a floppy disk please
    follow the instructions on the disk label to install SoundLib.

    If you received this version of SoundLib in a ZIP file, first
    extract the files to a blank floppy (or in an empty temporary directory), 
    then activate the Program Manager, select Run from the File menu, 
    type A:INSTALL.EXE (or the complete path for INSTALL.EXE) , press the 
    Enter key, and follow the prompts.

    Windows 95 users can also activate the "Add/Remove Programs" item from
    the control panel.

    If you are upgrading from an older version, you may whish to read
    the files whatsnew.txt and upgrade.txt for instructions.

*** Warning ***

Please remember that if you upload a bank to your synth using SoundLib, 
it will overwrite the previous patches ; so you should save them first.
Also, using the test buttons will ovewrite the edit buffer ; so beware
if you were editing a sound !

On the Kawai K1, K1m, K1r, K1II, there is no edit buffer addressable by
midi, so on these synths the first location of the internal bank is
overwriten when you use the Test feature.

Complete documentation is included in Windows Help format (SOUNDLIB.HLP).
Please read the Quick start section of this Help File. 
It will show you an overview of the main functions.
